Where are we??
It's been a long time since we shared our iPod experiences. Hope you've been using yours and learning some different things you can do with your iPod.
Since our last training, I have purchased and downloaded several audiobooks (both fiction and non-fiction); and I've downloaded several techy talk podcasts that have helped me keep up to date with the ever changing world of technology.
I've also been researching how we can create our own podcasts. While researching, I've found that the COAS has a podcast on e-coli. I've also found several web sites @ Penn State that can help us get started.
https://itunes.psu.edu/ - With Penn State on iTunes U, you can use iTunes to access select course materials, lectures, seminars, athletic updates, and other valuable information related to the University. During the Fall 2006 semester a pilot is underway to allow select courses and other mobile content to be available from Penn State on iTunes U.
http://podcast.psu.edu/ - this site has different colleges's podcasts.
http://www.podcasts.psu.edu/ - Podcasts at Penn State is a pilot service being designed by Education Technology Services in partnership with several units within Information Technology Services and around the Penn State Community. We are investigating how podcasts could be used by Penn State faculty, staff, students, and administration to extend the reach of their messages.
So, who's ready to create a podcast? I'm ready to help. Give me a call or email me and we'll get podding!!
